I’m a socially awkward introvert looking to start a revolution…… haha; ok, maybe not a revolution, but to share my love of secondhand and how it can be as good as buying new.
I want to share with you my love of taking something old, broken, or unwanted and remaking it into something useful and beautiful.
Remaking, reusing, recycling, or Upcycling isn’t a new concept by any means, but there is a negative stigma behind it. As a society, we have come to believe that new is best and we are better at buying shiny new things, and old is dirty or lesser than.
Well, I’m here to change things (haha) and will help bridge the gap between the old and new. I’m here to pick up and sort out by either cleaning things down or salvaging the old and bringing them up to a point a creative person can make them beautiful.
I hope this will make more people interested in using old things if the ick factor is taken away.
So here I am, a wife and a mum of two boys, wanting to sell items I have salvaged from the growing piles at the Tip (recycling centres or Dumps) and put them out into the world for them to find a new lease of life.
Welcome to The Remakers Emporium; I take the old unusable and make them new and usable again. Check out my shop for the materials to inspire you and your creative side and my unique handmade artwork.
